MCH is writing and arranging text for the new show by 1157performance group. Entitled Tao of Hamlet, the project is the latest in a series of deconstructions by 1157 of Shakespeare's iconic story of vacillation and revenge. This time the drama takes a Kung Fu twist, the action opening mid-ritual in a Taoist temple before the ghost of Hamlet returns to set in motion a second unstoppable descent into tragedy.
Devised, choreographed and directed by Matthew Scott.
Preview performances planned for April/May 2010 followed by an extensive autumn tour.
