The Space Programme 2011
Hosted by The Performance Corporation
Castletown House, Ireland
7 -18 March 2011

TPC SPACE-1

Mark C. Hewitt was one of nine artists involved in The Space Programme 2011 - a unique international artists' residency offering opportunities for artistic collaboration and experiment over a two-week period. Created and hosted by site specific theatre company, The Performance Corporation, at their base in 18th century Castletown House, County Kildare, the programme was immersive yet open-ended, encouraging interdisciplinary interaction between artists yet with no pressure to come up with an end product.

Devised and facilitated by
Jo Mangan, Artistic Director of The Performance Corporation, and dramaturg Hanne Slattne.

Participants were selected by a panel of leading arts practitioners following a wide-ranging submission process. The programme was supported by the Irish Arts Council, Kildare County Council, OPW and Irish Landmark Trust.
