1157performancegroup
October - December 2008

Mark Hewitt was one of a company of five performers in 1157performancegroup's 89% and Rising. The piece challenged ignorance amongst young people about HIV/AIDS and sexual transmitted disease, presented as a surreal Q&A panel game for teenage and adult audiences. Experimental, hard-hitting, politically incorrect and provocatively absurd, the piece was performed by Matthew Scott (The Moderator), Kathryn McGarr (no.1), Adam Milford (no.2), Mark Hewitt (no.3), Clare Davies (no.4) with a random or selected member of the audience (no.5).
Devised and directed by Matthew Scott and Jo Dagless.
