Hypnotrash
The
dreams collected in this section are of a more general
nature, entering this website in the usual way through
either
the gate of horn or the gate of
ivory.
The ages given for contributors refers to their age at the
time of submitting their dreams. Most were collected during
the years 2000 and 2001 as an aspect of a wider project
entitled Hypnotrash.
On this project I worked over a number of months with
hypnotherapist, Wendy Jago. Her book, 'Your Inner Coach'
(Piatkus, 2003), co-authored with Ian McDermott - grew
partly out of her own response to our work together. Whilst
my original plan had been to explore the use of hypnosis as
a creative tool we ended up focusing much more on 'altered
states' and - (as Wendy puts it in her book) - developing
"a higher level of rapport between your normal awareness
and your subconscious".
