I have a recurrent dream concerning the buildings directly in front of my grandmother's terrace in Italy. To provide some background to the dream: she lived near Naples and I spent much of my childhood there. Her garden and terrace were my main playground in childhood. Over the years, since the 1970's, many buildings surrounding it have changed around her house, but the main view includes the Vesuvius clearly visible to the right, and the mountains called Monti Lattari to the left, with different sized blocks of flats in the near distance. In the far distance still to the left, behind the clocks of flats, one can see the castle of Lettere, which I never visited and which populated my imaginary medieval world. In 1980 an earthquake rocked the area, causing nearly 4000 dead and tens of thousand of homeless people. I was there. When the earthquake happened, the blocks of flats to the left collapsed in front of me. They were in time replace with different buildings, but the vision of the partly collapsed blocks with flats' interiors still visible, stayed with me a long time.

My recurrent dream involves me flying over the terrace and seeing the buildings rebuild themselves over and over again, while giant drawings appear on the side of the buildings' walls. As i do this, I can feel the sun on my skin and the air is warm. I see many gardens below, and a sense of wellbeing.

This is my dream.
