Tao of Hamlet
Mark Hewitt is currently writing text for and performing with experimental theatre company 1157performancegroup. Tao of Hamlet is the latest in a series of deconstructions by 1157 of Shakespeare's iconic story of vacillation, madness and vengeance. Work in progress performances have already taken place at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead, The Mill in Banbury and at Jersey Arts Centre as the culmination of a one week residency during early June working with local drama students and arts centre staff. Other development work will follow during 2010 before the touring production is launched at South Hill Park, Bracknell, in February 2011.
Devised, choreographed and directed by Matthew Scott
